Chorus Selected for IFPA FutureTECH, Introducing Digital Microbial Control to the Fresh Produce Industry
Selection places Chorus among a curated group of emerging companies built to address the fresh produce industry's most critical challenges.
MARLBOROUGH, MA, October 14, 2026 – Chorus, the pioneer of Digital Microbial Control, has been selected to exhibit at FutureTECH during the International Fresh Produce Association's (IFPA) 2026 Global Produce & Floral Show, October 14–16 in Orlando, Florida. The selection places Chorus among the emerging technologies being spotlighted at one of the industry's premier global events.
As part of IFPA's Innovation Hub, FutureTECH is a curated showcase of startup and early-stage companies developing technologies to address the fresh produce industry's most critical challenges. Chorus' selection brings attention to a largely untapped opportunity in the fight against produce shrink and lost sellable life: continuous control of microbial pressure within fresh produce storage environments.
"Being selected for FutureTECH is an exciting milestone for Chorus and meaningful recognition of the work behind our technology," said Ray DeSabato, CEO of Chorus. "Produce shrink remains one of the industry's most persistent challenges, and we believe continuous microbial control represents a significant opportunity to address it. FutureTECH brings together companies working to shape what's next for fresh produce. We're proud to be among them and excited to introduce a new category of technology to the industry."
Digital Microbial Control for Fresh Produce
Cold-chain management and packaging are essential to preserving freshness, yet neither fully addresses the bacteria and mold that accumulate in storage and back-of-house environments. For grocery retailers, that gap is a direct contributor to shrink.
Chorus is designed to address this gap through Digital Microbial Control. The system generates ultra-low-dose chlorine dioxide gas on demand and distributes it throughout the cold-storage environment. Integrated sensors measure gas concentration in real time, while closed-loop control automatically adjusts output to maintain a target level. Cloud connectivity delivers system visibility, alerts, and performance data across locations, with no added labor.
By managing microbial pressure continuously rather than through periodic intervention, Chorus is designed to help retailers reduce produce shrink, extend sellable life, and strengthen fresh quality.
A Broader Vision for Fresh Produce Shelf Life
Digital Microbial Control sits at the core of Chorus' Shelf-Life Stack™, a seven-layer framework that shows how interconnected controls shape fresh produce performance, from starting biology and packaging to cold-chain conditions, microbial protection, automation, and visibility.
Within the Stack, Chorus introduces active protection while strengthening automation, control, and visibility. The framework points to a more integrated future for shelf-life management, where continuous protection, intelligent automation, and actionable data work together to support more consistent, predictable fresh performance.
Meet Chorus at IFPA FutureTECH
Chorus will exhibit at FutureTECH Booth FT12 during the 2026 IFPA Global Produce & Floral Show, October 14–16, in Orlando, Florida. Attendees are invited to meet the Chorus team, explore Digital Microbial Control and the Shelf-Life Stack™, and discuss potential applications across fresh produce storage environments.
